Watching the Pebble Steel Laser Etching Process Is Amazing

Pebble recently released an update to their watch line up, called Pebble Steel. It’s an incredible improvement with stainless steel components mixed with the magic of antimicrobial Gorilla Glass. You can read more about Pebble’s new Smart watches on this article here, but before you go and read about that, check out the video below showing the Pebble Steel laser etching process! It’s the first time I’ve seen an etching from start to finish (mostly only get little clips).

There’s something about watching lasers cut precision characters and designs in solid steel that makes me completely ignore this very vertical video recording. Science is great!
