A new app on the App Store allows people to stream music to devices OTHER THAN Apple’s TV and to computers. The app, appropriately named “AirMusic” allows seamless streaming from the iPhone to the Playstation 3 console, the XBOX, and to a PC via Windows Media Player.

It essentially sets up a little DLNA server and allows you to stream music from it. The process is actually quite easy! First, you..

- Connect your iPod, iPhone or iPad to the same WiFi network as your XBox, PS3 or PC.

- Start AirMusic

- If you have an XBox, turn it on, navigate to the Music Library and select your device in the list

- If you have a PS3, turn it on, navigate to the Music Note and select your device in the list

- If you have a PC running Windows Vista or Windows 7, start Windows Media Player, your iPhone will show up under ‘Other Libraries’

The creator of this app also has these important notes

★★★★★★ IMPORTANT ★★★★★★

■ AirMusic requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with a minimum of 50MB of disk space to work effectively.
■ On a PC, AirMusic only works with Windows Media Player running on Windows Vista or Windows 7.
■ AirMusic is not compatible with old DRM songs purchased on iTunes. Newer iTunes DRM free purchases are compatible.
■ On XBox, it may take a few seconds before audio starts playing.

I actually got this working very easily, just as it describes…. except with Windows Media Player (go figure). Don’t get me wrong, I got it to play, but it was very slow, and sometimes didn’t want to see it at all. Maybe this is just my computer (Windows 7 Professional x64) or maybe it’s a little bug in the app. Who knows, but one thing is for certain… we are finally starting to get usful features out of the iPhone that SHOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE with Apple already, without the need to jailbreak.

I highly recommend you get this, it’s worth it if you want to play music from your phone, and don’t have a good speaker system and dock set up, or if you want to throw a house party and play it off that banging home theatre system you got under that plasma screen!

Of course it’s also a given that you have to have AirPlay function on your iPhone… so iOS 4.2.1 is REQUIRED! If you don’t have it yet, download it from our Downloads Section and get to it!

Hey guys, You love music? Then you should check out the new iphone music stream application called "YouTune∞". ->YouTune connects you to the world's music library. Search and play millions of songs whenever you want whereever you are! It works like spotify or other streaming apps. But the differenc is that my application is not so expensive. I am sure that you cant belive it, when you see the price but, it is true 1,99$ app price and you can stream millions of songs for a life-long. And there is no monthly fee, only the app price to pay. with this Low price I would only pay, the server costs and a litte fee for me. WEB: http://prime-vision.net I hope i see you there, Stay tuned :)
