Apple’s website has yet to tell me that my iPhone has shipped… which makes no sense to me, since it would take longer than two days to get to my door from China. Thankfully, there is an easy way to tell that Apple’s site isn’t updating me promptly as it should – common sense.

Also thankfully, Gizmodo put up some instructions on how you too can track your iPhone if Apple’s site isn’t updating you, and best of all, you don’t even need a tracking number!

  • Go to the UPS website right here
  • Select ‘Track by Reference’
  • In the ‘Shipment Reference’ field, type in your 10-digit phone number (the one you used to buy on Apple)

After following those simple instructions, you may see a screen similar to mine (pictured above). It’ll show you the progress your iPhone order has made so far!

Of course, only about half of all iPhone orders actually get sent out via UPS. The rest are sent FedEx, and if your order is FedEx, this will not work for you for obvious reasons.

Give it a shot, and let us know if it works for you in the comments below!
