Exploit for iOS 4.3.1 Will Still Work For Untethered Jailbreak iOS 4.3.2!
It’s not very often that Apple releases a new firmware and DOESN’T patch up the holes. lucky for us in the jailbreak community, that’s exactly what just happened.
i0nic, the man responsible for the exploit that makes the jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 untethered, has been searching through the new iOS 4.3.2 for quite some time, and has discovered that the exploit he used for the iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak has NOT been patched up! Users who updated to iOS 4.3.2 are not completely out of luck after all!
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can simply jailbreak with the tools that you already have. There are slight variations that will need to be addressed before the jailbreak will work successfully. i0nic has tweeted that he’ll need to make new binaries for this firmware, and that it’s likely he won’t be able to get to that until after next weekend.
We’ll be waiting for those changes to happen too. iOS 4.3.2 supposedly fixes a lot of issues that iOS 4.3.1 had previously, and for those of us experiencing these bugs, it’ll be a breath of fresh air to get the new firmware on our device later.
