Assassin’s Creed is one of the primary reasons I still get excited for game launches. It’s been one of my favorite titles since the day the first game was released (although the first Assassin’s Creed turned out to be extremely repetitive and predictable quickly). The entire concept of being an assassin and being able to sneak up on a target for a kill excites the hell out of me. Luckily, for those of you who are into mobile games, and own a Playstation Vita, you’ll have just as awesome of a time as I will come October.

Details on Assassin’s Creed Vita have come up, and there are some juicy details that have been made public before E3. For starters, The Vita version of Assassin’s Creed III (named “Liberation”) is slated to launch the very same day as it’s console sibling. The game will introduce a new hero, named Aveline, a female assassin that plays a key role throughout the story’s portrayal of the Revolutionary War. He story is said to go along side Connor’s story, from the main console version. Her mentor is an escaped slave named Agate. He’s also the leader of the assassins in New Orleans.

Assassin’s Creed III Vita takes place between 1765 and 1780, a vital period of America’s history in which power was brutally fought for, and freedom was won by the blood of soldiers, husbands, fathers, and sons.

The Playstation Vita version (which will be covered at E3 this week) will take place in New Orleans, with very large game play areas in which the player will be able to run. climb, fight, and explore the entire world around them (or at least, all of New Orleans) without the famous loading screen. Surprisingly, the player will not be connecting to Desmond at all.

For those interested, multiplayer with the “Vita Experience” is coming with Assassin’s Creed III Vita, although no specifics on what exactly multiplayer will be like is available at the time of this article. We’ll have more coverage on Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, as well as all sorts of other cool stuff from E3 as the week goes on.
